Jason Burdge

President of the Board

Jason is a professional non-profit consultant with 20 years of experience developing organizations focusing on alternative mental health. He has assisted several psychedelic mental health focused nonprofits including Psychedelics in Recovery, End-Of-Life Psychedelic Care, the Psilocybin Facilitators Association, The First Responders Collective, and several psychedelic societies.

 

He is also a retired police officer who has used psilocybin through the state regulated programs to address PTSD and other traumas. As an advocate for mental health, he believes that psilocybin combined with appropriate mental health support can have a profound impact on community and personal healing.

Dr. Mary Grace "MG", 

Education Committee Lead

Dr. Mary Grace (MG) Hornick is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Roosevelt University College of Science, Health and Pharmacy in Schaumburg, IL. She received a dual BA/BS degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia for Russian Studies and Biological Sciences in 2003, after which she served as a Community Health Specialist in the United States Peace Corps in Armenia. In 2008, she earned her MS in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University, going on to complete her PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013. Dr. Hornick joined RU Pharmacy in 2019, where she teaches core foundational courses in Pathophysiology and Clinical Microbiology & Immunology. She is passionate about education, psychedelics, and research, mentoring students in both literature and wet-lab research focusing on psychedelic medicines and pharmacognosy. Since 2020, she has designed and delivered the popular elective “Medicine or Menace: Introduction to Psychedelics” to encourage and inform the next generation of Psychedelic Pharmacists.

Dr. William Senneway, PharmD

Treasurer

Dr. William Senneway is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and has been practicing in the managed care space for over ten years. His interest in psychedelic-assisted therapy began with independent research and discovering others in the community with a similar passion. The tremendous healing potential offered by these therapies led him to seek more involvement in a professional way, in hopes to help legitimize these treatments for the greater good and participate in a new era of medicine. After joining the PPA as a member in October 2023, he stepped into a role on the executive committee, serving as the organization’s treasurer. Will is passionate about his faith, family, wellness, and financial freedom. He currently lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and their son.
